5. basic track planning

Unlike most other track planning software, Templot does not use pick-and-place methods. Instead track templates are extended, split, turnouts inserted in them, etc., until the full layout plan has been built up in a prototypical manner. Here is a temporary video clip showing that:

Notice that In Templot there is no list of items to select from. Nothing gets placed in isolation in the middle of the screen. Nothing gets moved and joined on to something else.
