COMMON CROSSING.

Common crossings are used in Turnouts, Diamonds and Slips.

They are measured as 1 in *, the size in 1/2's in the lower crossing angles and whole numbers for REA designed Turnouts. Some pre-grouping companies used 1/4 increments, at the lower end. Templot caters for this in Real Crossings.

Common Crossings can be measured in two ways Centre Line and Right Angle methods. Templot can cater for both, the default is REA right angle.
